Visual Basic is the most popular language used at this time for business applications. You will find that we are familiar with most database packages, but we specialize in using Microsoft Access. We previously programmed in various Pick dialects. We have used and interfaced to many other databases. All of our software that we write is delivered with full source code. Typically we develop a detailed document that describes the software we are about to write. This is called our Systems Analysis document. This document becomes our specification that our programmers follow. This document also becomes the basis for your end-user documentation. |
Your project would start off by discussing your needs with us. We would jointly work on the Systems Analysis booklet. We would probably complete 3 iterations of this booklet. If you are remote, we would e-mail the Word document to you. When you felt comfortable with the design of the system, then you would give us the OK to start programming. We would then deliver several prototypes or versions as the software was developed. You would install this at your site. Initially you would test the program for its user interface. Later you would check the processing and reports. During this whole process we would bill by the hour on a weekly basis. In this manner you would see our progress on a frequent basis. You would receive complete documentation on what we worked on. Our current labor rates are $75 for work performed at our site, $95 for work performed at the client's site, $55 per hour for travel.
